Navigating the loss of a loved one is a profound journey, and the weight of grief is often felt physically, mentally, and spiritually. At Muscle, Mind, and Soul, we want to offer a safe, quiet space for you to rest, be held, and process in your own time.
This offering was created from a place of deep, personal understanding. Grief is a journey each of us at the studio has navigated in our own lives. It is from these shared experiences that we felt called to create a space of gentle support for others, knowing that sometimes, the most helpful thing is simply to be cared for without having to say a word.
Our Compassionate Care Package includes two dedicated sessions:
- One 60-Minute Therapeutic Massage: Grief often settles into the body as tension, aches, and exhaustion. This session allows you to be cared for as our skilled therapists work to ease physical discomfort and calm your nervous system.
- One 75-Minute Grief & Loss Reiki Session: You will be in the dedicated care of our Reiki practitioner, Denise, who is also a certified Death Doula. She will hold a safe, compassionate space for you, using gentle energy work to promote deep relaxation, emotional balance, and a sense of peace. This extended time is intentionally designed to support you in processing complex emotions.
Flexible Booking to Suit Your Needs
We understand that time and energy can be scarce when you are navigating loss. Because this package is purchased as a series, you can schedule these sessions in the way that best serves you:
- Back-to-Back: Book them together for a deeply restorative 2-hour, 15-minute retreat.
- On Separate Days: Schedule your massage and Reiki session on different days to give yourself two separate moments of peace to look forward to.

Cupping Add-On - No Charge
(incorporated into your massage)
An ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. Cupping therapy might be trendy now, but it’s not new. It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern Europe!

Reiki and Energy Work

Denise Parker has over 30 years experience in energy work and is a Level 4 Reiki Master. Click over to the about us section to read more about her!
Usui Reiki, Seichem Energy work, Chakra balancing and crystal work. The Japanese word ‘reiki’ can be translated as ‘universal life energy’ and the Usui System was founded in Japan a little over 100 years ago by Mikao Usui. Seichim is a living light energy, meaning it is a different and higher vibration than Reiki. Meaning ‘power of powers’ or ‘might’, Seichim is similar to Reiki but has its origins in ancient Egypt.

Hot Stone Massage add on
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.

Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation. We use the support of body pillows and side-lying position to keep mama and baby comfortable during their massage.

Cold Stone Migraine Relief
Cold stone massage is designed to be a preventative treatment – to stop a migraine in its tracks before it becomes out of control – with the goal being to address the vascular part of your migraines. The cold stones help to reduce the excess blood flow to the brain which reduces the pounding sensation you often experience during an attack. They also help to decrease pain and blood vessel inflammation or swelling.
This massage concept is not wholly different from that of an ice massage. But cold stone therapy is less intense and does not damage the skin in the same way an ice massage can.
A few more benefits of a cold stone massage include:
- Decreasing soreness
- Pulling excess heat from the body
- Relaxing muscle spasms
- Easing discomfort
The low temperature of the stones causes the blood vessels to narrow. Then when they’re removed, the vessels dilate which brings fresh blood and oxygen back to the area.
